Typically, Windows Explorer is opened from a shortcut that
resides on the Desktop, Start Menu or Taskbar.
1> Choose one of these shortcuts and R-CLICK it. Select
PROPERTIES.
2> In the field labelled TARGET, paste the
following switch and parameter and the end of the existing
string (without the quotes): "/e, c:" Ensure that there is
a space between the existing string and what you paste.
The field should now look like the following:
"%SystemRoot%\explorer.exe /e, c:" (again, without the
quotes)
3> Choose OK to close the box. Now, click on the same
shortcut that you just edited. It should now open up
directly to "C:" you can substitute C: with any path that
you like.
