This is not an upgrade but previous window 2000 crash and
I try to reinstall a fresh new 2000.
The usual steps come to mind. Verify minimal hardware requirements for that
OS, consult the HCL list for hardware compatibility, check for a bios
upgrade. These aren't considered options. They are an integral part of any
new installation.
Its importatnt to identify the various peripherals, motherboard and mass
storage controllers that are included in your system. Without
identification, you don't know what you have and therefore what you need as
far as drivers and installation procedures.
With a little feedback on errors generated and anything specific on your
system, i'm convinced that the people here can help. If what you need is a
list of reasons a W2K installation would fail, you'ld grow gray hair trying
to get past the index alone.
