Hi Marc,
This involves changing the properties of the Windows Explorer shortcut.
Right-click on the shortcut and select the shortcut tab. In this tab, edit
the target line to read as follows (note that the default target is
%SystemRoot%\explorer.exe):
%SystemRoot%\explorer.exe /n, /root, c:\ /select, c:\[FOLDER] where
[FOLDER] is the path to the desired folder.

there is a chance to tell explorer which folder open first?

Basically, all you need do is modify the target field of your
Windows Explorer shortcut to point where you want it. In you case,
"%SystemRoot%\explorer.exe /e ,c:\" (without the quotes) should do the
trick. These KB Artivcles were written for earlier operating systems,
but this ability remains the same in Vista:

Hi, Marc.

In addition to the other suggestions...

I don't ALWAYS want to open Windows Explorer in E:\, but I want to open that
folder quite often. So I clicked Computer, then right-clicked on E: and
Create Shortcut. Then I dragged that shortcut from the Desktop to my Quick
Launch and clicked Move Here. Now I can open E:\ in Explorer with a single
click on that shortcut icon. ;<)

On my Desktop, I have several shortcut icons that open Explorer to different
folders, but my Desktop is usually hidden so it's nice to have the one that
I use most often always available in QL.
