set up an account for outlook

What instructions are you following? What is the exact error message?
Do you have an account on a mail or newsgroup server to connect to?
 
Hi,

Most of the time it gets messed up because the POP3 account information is not entered correctly. Now Outlook with Windows XP provides the ability to use ur hotmail account. Just type ur hotmail account and click on next and u will get the hotmail server provider. u only have to provide the password and then compete the setup. then u will be able to post messages from Outlook.

Perhaps you need to take a few computer classes before you attempt to use
your computer. The reality is, a child can usually set up an email account
in Outlook Express. All you need to know is your ISP's POP server, your ISP
username, and your ISP password. And of course, how to read and comprehend
the language you are setting it up in.

OOPS! I forgot that you also need the address of the SMTP server of your
ISP.
