Set the background color just for specific days in Calendar

I need to know how to change the background color for only certain days in my
calendar. It is the entire day but only days that I select. I have seen it,
so I know it can be done but can find no instructions for doing this. The
only option that I can find changes the entire calendar color not just the
day.

There's no way to control the color of the background of specific days.
