set reading pane off for all email folders

How do I set the same reading pane preference for all email
folders?

As it stands, I can do it individually for all folders , but
there must be a way to do it for all folders (my preference
is to set it to OFF for all folders). I did this on my
office computer, but can't remember what I did.

The Reading Pane is a per-folder setting and I am not aware of any way to
globally turn it on/off for all folders. There may be a 3rd party solution.
I would start searching on http://www.slipstick.com.
