Is there a setting in Windows XP Professional to keep the RDC connection
always available?
There are some group policies that *IF* configured will disconnect/log off
idle users. If you make sure those are configured correctly then its
possible you could keep a Remote Desktop (RDP) session connected
indefinitely. Of course that precludes ISP connection issues, etc...
To look at the Group Policies run gpedit.msc on the Remote Desktop host
machine and navigate to the Local Computer Policy | Computer Configuration |
Administrative Templates | Windows Components | Terminal Services | Sessions
policies.
