Dear Folks,

From time to time, I've been frustrated by my inability to get the contacts
window to look the way I'd like.

Is there a way to set a default view, or to save a particular customized
view, so that I can always revert back to that view?

thanks
I'm using OUtlook 2003

You can create a custom view by clicking on the View menu > Arrange By >
Current View > Define Views. If you like an existing view (e.g. Address
Cards) but want to modify it slightly you can create a copy of the view and
then modify that to sort, etc, in the way you like. Once you have done this
you should be able to select that view from the select box on the Advanced
toolbar or by returning to the View menu > Arrange By > Current View and
selecting the name of the view.

Andrea,

Thanks for the reply. How do I name the custom view, once I've got it the
way that I like?

In the table that appears under Define Views if you select <Current view
settings> and click the Copy button you will be able to make a copy of your
current settings and give it your own name. Otherwise, copy an existing
view and then use the modify button to change the settings.
