1. Find a sound (any sound) on your computer you want to play at 4:00 PM.
2. Open up your Task Scheduler folder.
- This can be found at "Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools >
Scheduled Tasks."
3. Right click in an empty place and select "New > Scheduled Task" and type
"Alarm Clock" for the name, then double-click that new icon to open it.
- Do NOT use the "Add Scheduled Task" icon.
4. In the "Run" box of the dialog you see, type the following:
replace the path to the chimes file with whatever sound you want to place.
the quotes are important.
5. Set all options you want using the other tabs. The times, the days of
the week, whatever.
- TIP: If you use a different account in the Task tab, the task will still
run but you won't see it popup. A good way to think of it is that it'll
happen on another 'desktop layer'.
6. You're set. And at this point, you are realizing that the free programs
are much easier.
