I didn't think BCM had such a feature either.
If they could do it without creating bugs, they would. But there are a
number of issues that need addressed- what happens when you move the pst and
the account doesn't exist or can't be identified as the right account is
just one of the considerations.
Outlook 2010 adds a feature which may reduce the requests for this feature.
Rather than using a default account and making you choose other accounts, it
chooses the sending account based on the account associated with the folder
you are viewing. When I'm reading mail in the pst used by my pop3 account,
all new messages will be from the pop account.
