Where are all the locations where one can configure session settings for
terminal server sessions because I think I am missing something somewhere...
(We are using a Win2K3 term server and a win2K SBS server)

Thanks,

Brad

I cannot set them globally because I have some users that need to be set
differently. So, I have set "session" data in all TS users AD user
profiles - but they are not working correctly - and they used to before I
implemented the Win2K3 terminal server into the farm. I am thinking maybe
there is a policy somewhere that is overriding this that I cannot find. I
thought Win2K3 server had some new policies added specifically for term serv
but I cannot find them....

Vera, I have the group policy snap-ins added to the MMC on our Windows 2000
Small Business Server and I cannot find any Terminal Services policies at
all. I have a local policy added fore both our windows 200 terminal server
and our windows 2003 terminal server.

Am I missing something?

Thanks,

Brad

Vera, if I go to my XP machine and add group policy there, the terminal
services stuff shows up!! What use is that??? Who cares? Why wouldn't this
stuff be available on the server to appy the policies to actual terminal
servers?? Something must not be right. I must be missing something...

Brad

If your domain is 2000, of course you do NOT have the new ADM policy
templates that come with 2003.
If you want to use these on a 2000 domain controller you will need to
manually copy the ADM file from the TS to the group policy folder where you
want the new template to be used.

Yes I figured that it would not be available by defualt on the Win2K SBS
machine, but it's not even available on the 2003 server! I added the group
policy snap-in the MMC on that machine, and the TS stuff does not show up!!

Anyway, how do I copy the files over as you suggest? That sounds like what I
am going to have to do...

Thanks,

brad
