session cookies

IE6 will not save session cookies from favorite Web site.
I've tinkered with Internet Options, always setting slider
on low -- and allowing for all cookies. But after a day or
2, I continuallu have to login to favorite sites that use
session cookies. My Mac computer at work does not have
this problem.
Can anyone help?

Have a look at your Cookies folder and see the expiry date of the offending
cookies. Perhaps they are set to expire within a reasonably short time of
creation.

That's what its supposed to do. When you end the current session (i.e., close
browser), the cookie is deleted. Despite the name similarity, these are not
the same as regular cookies.

Since HTML is a stateless protocol (i.e., it has no way of remembering you
once it serves up the requested page), and since many people object to
cookies for privacy reasons, Web developers have responded by using sessions
which temporarily "remember."
