I have a ServeRAID 4L in my xSeries 220. I have two 18Gb Ultra360 drives,
one Ultra360 176Gb drive, and a DAT4 tape drive. I want to stripe the two
18Gb drives RAID-0 and back that logical drive to the DAT4 tape drive so I
have some redundancy.

Can I also run the 176Gb drive off the ServeRAID 4L or do I have to chain it
with the DAT4 drive off the onboard SCSI?

Thanks.

the 4L only has one channels. All the disks can go on the 4L. It
would be better to just put the dat on another HBA from the start.
the 176Gb will be configured as JBOD mich may show up as RAID0. Pay
no mind to it. It's a cosmetic peculiarity.
