Hi,
How about reinstalling SP1 ?
Or .. you could ghost (utility to image the pc) the PC to
an image file on another partition (e.g. D). Reinstall XP.
Export list of all services and their status. Re-image PC
back to old one and change services

Hi Tim ;-) I appreciate all your help and I will try to
make this a quick response...
My computer will not accept SP1, though it's in windows
update, everytime I go there. As far as ghost, the other
router I had on here ( Belkin ) did say something
refering to that, though, I'm very new to this stuff, I
didn't have a clue on what it was or how to do it. As far
as partitions, I can NOT reinstall XP. It was on this
computer when it was bought and I also found out, on this
newsgroup, that it is a beta version (not this particular
page, but still on XP newsgroups) As far as this being a
beta version, I have done nothing in my power to get a so
called fake version or any other rip off to microsoft.
After finding out this info, my friend bought me a boxed
version to put on my computer but I have yet other
problems with that....being told it cannot be installed
in my system because of conflicks with drivers, losing my
original programs, ect...so I use this for practice so to
speak, but I wonder if half the problems I have with it,
is because it's a beta version or if it's me... ( I do
admit, I'm very much a beginner and can cause all or any
problems I have, but also wonder, hmmmm... what if I
stick my new version of XP on here....I guess another
question on how to do it, and more questions for you guys
and gals on this newsgroup
Thank You So Much For Your Help & Advice !!! ;-)
