I am using Windows XP Pro and FP 2003. After reformatting my hard drive and
setting up IIS again, I am getting the following error message when trying to
use a search form. "Service is not running". What do I have to do to get it
running?

Check that Index Service is running, then create a catalogue for your
site.
Also check that the web server is set to allow indexing of the site.

I removed the FP2000 extensions and installed the FP 2002 extensions. IIS is
running and published to http://localhost. I now have a new problem. No
matter what I type in the search box I get a message saying that no documents
were found . The words I am typing in the search box appear on other pages
in the web . Any ideas?

It would have been better to have upgraded the FP2000 extensions to FP2002, then to have remove the
FP2000 extensions first. From IIS MMC or the FP Extensions Admin, you need to run a server health
check and recalculate web.

Ok, I un-installed IIS and the FP 2002 Extensions and started all over. I
did the normal install of IIS off the XP Pro Disk which installed the 2000
extensions and everything works fine now. How do you figure that happened?
