When i reboot my server many of my services fail due to a
logon failure. once the machine is up i simply go into the
services and type the exact same username and password and
the service will start.
i was using a domain account, i then tried creating a
local admin account and had the same results.

which services are failing? you might try local system.
if you are on a DC leave out the domain name and just put the username.

It sounds like the service account(s) for those services have old passwords
or user accounts.

From the Services applet, check the properties of the services that are
failing at boot and verify the accounts are valid and the passwords are
likewise valid. If there's any doubt, re-enter them.

actually the local system account does work, but my backup
service needs to run with a specific account and that is
what keeps failing. ill try not putting in the domain and
see what happens.

Tim,

The accounts are valid and not locked out. if i re-enter
the same exact password it will start the service but
after a reboot the service will fail saying there is a
logon failure. For some reason during the boot up the
machine will not accept the password for the account. but
after the machine is up and i go into the services and
type in the same password that was in there it starts the
serivce right up.
