Hi,
My CPU has been sitting at 100% for days now. I have tried restores,
updates, spyware/virus scanners, etc. I've noticed and blame the services.exe
(its the legit microsoft process) as that process is using whatever CPU % is
not being used by everything else (basically, what would go to the system
idle process), and the system idle process has been at 0% for a while now. My
services.exe has typically been between 40%-50% since this started. If I run
another program, it takes much longer to load than normal, but it gets its
share of the CPU, which usually appears to be taken from the services.exe
CPU. It has caused my computer to slow down horribly, and lag rather often in
spots, but it still functions. It is getting annoying rather quickly, though.
Any thoughts?
