1) Most annoying bug so far, when I try to log off of a
user account on this XP Pro SP2 single machine, multiuser
account computer, sometimes the gcasServ.exe service
doesn't want to end itself. I have to manually click
the "End Now" button to get it to end.
2) The MSAntispyware Shell Execute Hook is shown as
unknown. The software should at least know itself...lol.
3) Microsoft replaced Giant almost everywhere except the
executable itself...lol
4) Spybot S&D's immunization adds dummy registry keys for
SearchSquire Adware. MSAS gives false positive on this
and recommends removal. However, you can then re-immunize
without MSAS noticing anything amiss. In other words, if
it thinks the Spybot S&D's immunization for SearchSquire
is actual the real SearchSquire adware, why do the real
time agents let you use Spybot S&D to add this
immunization in the first place. Not a big deal, but took
me a day to figure out what was happening and Always Block
removal of SearchSquire by MSAS
5) Needs better multi-user support. On my machine, with
two admin users and 2 regular users (one power user), one
admin user should be able to run MSAS and scan all other
user registry branches. Instead, I have to run the MSAS
scan on each user account separately to make sure nothing
is missed. Highly aggravating.
6) Also on multiuser, non-admin accounts shouldn't be able
to change all the MSAS settings by default. Only admin
users should have this access by default.
But in all, I like it so far! Which speaks well of Giant.
