I am studying for the MCP exam, and came across the
following statement in my study materials, which I
thought, is just the opposite.

"When you install a new component from the original W2k CD
ROM you need to reinstall the service pack"

Can anyone clarify this for me.

No you dont W2k stores its SP differently to earlier
versions of windows.
