Andy

I am about to install (yet another) win2K pro on another
partition on my system. I am not sure whether to install
the win2K service pack before the IE service pack, or
whether I need to set up internet connections before the
service packs. I am worried that some of the windows
service pack files will not install if my internet
connection is not up and running.

I need advice on the best sequence of the following events
after the basic windows has been set up:

(A) sp4 (already on HD)
(B) IE service pack (already on HD)
(C) Internet connection (After firewall and AV install, of
course)
(D) MS Office Pro 2K (I know sp1a requires internet
connection)

Thanks for the hints!

Probably install the OS service pack (assumes you have the complete SP ~135
mB in size) first followed by; http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=826955
before connecting to any network (includes the internet) or you'll be almost
immediately infected.
