J Jon_Hildrum Oct 23, 2005 #3 Several ways but I like this one: Use Start -->settings --> Control panel. Open the system applet and it will tell you right there: System: Microsoft Windows XP Professional (or home) Version 2002 Service Pack 2

S Sharon F Oct 23, 2005 #4 How can I tell if Windows XP Service Pack 2 has been intalled on my machine? Thanks, GS Click to expand... Start> Run Type winver into the text box and click OK The screen that appears will tell you if SP2 is installed or not. Also, System Properties should state SP2 if it's installed.
