This may, for some of you, seem like a idiotic question,
but you learn ask questions so here we go:

I got a computer with a program, AutoCAD 97 light. This
program will not run if Service Pack 4 is installed so I
have to use Windowsupdate, which I have no problem with,
but the thing is:

Does the Service Pack include something
WindowsUpdate.com does not provide, or is it just a
collection of WindowsUpdate.com-files?
In case it does provide something, what?

Regards,
Geir Olav.

I could be wrong but here goes.
an update is something that microsoft considers important
enough to put out right away, to fix a security hole or
whatever.
A service pack is a group of updates/patches combined into
one package, available on a CD in case you prefer to
update at your desk, or have the updates handy, for
reinstall, (my preference)
