Hi, Please help !

I am trying to update my client computer with xp Service Pack 1 (Network
Installation 137mb) and on completing this, I cannot for the life of me get
my computer back on the Internet !

I've been trying for months now, as when I purchase my comp 2Ghz my OSdisk
OEM,didn't have the service pack.

I turned off anti-virus, to install but the same result - have to uninstall
SP1 to connect to the net !

When I do ipconfig I get an internal IP address but no connection to the
gateway or the other comps. on the Lan even after running network setup
again!

Thank you for any help....

Kevin,

Is a firewall running on the PC? If so <temporairly> disable it and see if
that helps. If so then reenable the firewall and you'll be all set.

Nospam

but your nic card is enabled? i dunno reinstall your nic card thru device
manager.....

Way to go!

Thanks Randy you're on my Christmas card list next year !!!

Bloody NIC was stopping it, uninstalled it and went fine on boot up !

Cheers !
