First half of 2006, so I hope it's before July 2006

Don't you just love cryptic answers...

I've been using VS.2005 with C# for about a month and have only had a couple
crashes but have found the I have to close and reopen it regularly when it
decides there are errors drawing forms. I do agree this is one of the
buggiest releases of software MS has produced.

I found this link which seems to indicate April 2006 if I understand it
correctly. I was hopping a much earlier date myself.

Not that I have anything against you 2005 guys/gals, but I really hope a
2003 SP is released before one for 2005.

and have only had a couple crashes

Lucky you. I have a couple of crashes every 5 minutes. The most common
is "The custom tool exception" with no explanation of what code or
visual element caused the crash.

The service pack is desperately needed!!!

Hey, Microsoft folks! This product sure looks nice with all those new
tools and stuff. But it's clearly not ready for the release. Please,
Please Please test it more and fix the bugs. Try using it for your own
apps and you'll see what I'm talking about. Thank you.

Based on the post I sent earlier it seems they are going to release the two
(2003/2005) together for whatever sense that makes.

I missed that. Good news. I'll go back and check it out
