I was trying to install SP1a to Windows XP and had a power
outage in the middle of the install. Now the computer
will not even boot. Everytime the Windows XP screen
appears it reboots itself. Tried booting from "Last good
Configuration" but the same results. Any way to recover
short of reloading all software?

You need to perform a "repair install".

Afterward, go directly to the following web site
and download SP 1 directly:

Windows XP Service Pack 1 (direct download)

Note: Select "Network Installation" (32-bit)
