Hello,
Microsoft.com checked for critical updates for my
computer and decided that I needed Windows 2000 Service
Pack 4 installed. I did so and received the following
error message on a blue screen:
Stop:0x0000001E (0x0000005 0x00000000, 0x0000000C) KMODE_
EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED
Address: ED0E08D3 base at ED0e0000, Date Stamp 38969d4a -
L8042pr2.sys
I am unable to operate in Safe Mode or any other mode in
the selection screen. The same error appears.
Do I have to rebuild this machine or is there a way to
get around this? CAN ANYONE OUT THERE HELP!
Thank you,
joan

You can try to repair your Windows 2000 OS.
You do this by putting in you 2000 os cd and booting from
it. You chouse the repair option.

You can install windows on top of itself without
reformating the drive, this is a little faster and does
leave most of your data intact, but you'll probably have
to reinstall some drivers and programs.
