Recently have updated 5 or 6 PC's at my company to SP4
with no problem. Did one Friday and got the following:
Stop:0x0000001E (0xC0000005, 0x80462147, 0x00000000,
0x00000E214)
K_MODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED
Address 80462147 base at 80400000, DateStamp 3EE6C002 -
NTOSKRNL.EXE
Tried numerous suggestions to fix, but ended up reloading
WIN2000 over previous installation and was able to get the
PC to bootup. (Could not format and reload due to
critical data on H/D from our staff.) After getting this
far, I noticed that none of the previous SP's were
loaded. Monday morning I loaded SP3 and got the same
results as before. This time I was able to uninstall the
SP3 and got it working again. I am thinking that there
may be a corrupt file/files or a loaded program that is
causing this.
Sure could use any ideas or suggestions that anyone might
have.
