OK... I guess I spoke to soon. There must be some problem
though. Maybe a compatibility issue with certain software.
Having machines freeze and reboot continously after the
update is not normal. I have had no problems before the
update. If you look in other posts, I'm not the only one
having problems. I did not want to go through the hassle
of reinstalling one of my machines dur to the amount of
software on it, so this is what I had to do to fix.
Recovery Console: Ran fixboot, fixmbr, and chkdsk twice.
rebooted of CD again and ran a manual repair choosing all
options and aswering yes to fix every file. There were
many. Upon reboot I had to run many individual updates,
and Outlook/Office was throwing errors all over. I could
not veiw any emails in the preview panel or even open them
at all. Could not import either. Turns out I had to delete
an Outlook Express file (Wab32.dll) from my C:\Program
Files\Common Files\System folder (very weird) and let
windows replace it automatically from
C:\WINNT\ServicePackFiles\i386.... Well everything is
sortta OK now, but I'm scared to touch another update any
time soon...
