Service pack 4 for windows 2000 will not install

has anyone else had a problem getting the service pack 4
to install. My computer just sits for hours saying its
installing, bit it doesnt. My task mgr says its running,
but when you look at processes i dont see any thing really
going on. Anybody heard of this problem?

I don't know for sure but - given that you tried to install SP4 recently, did the download automatically grab the problematic KB835732 update as well - this update has been the cause of many notes in this forum - try checking the content of what you've tried to install and then "turf out" the above item if it's been included. There's talk that MS will rectify the problem when they issue SP5 but when that'll be is unknown.
