Service Pack 4 Crashes win2K when using Thumb Drives

I have had a USB thumb drive for over a year now, and it
has always worked just fine on every computer I plugged it
into... until I upgraded to SP4 for win2k pro. As soon as
I plug in the drive, I get "found new
hardware", "Installing new drive" or what ever. As soon as
it tries to read it, I get the blue screen of death and my
system restarts. If I leave the thumb drive plugged in
during reboot, it scans the drive and says it's okay. I
have even reformatted it to make sure it was clean. But
that did help. Amway, after it boots back up, if I haven't
unplugged it, the drive is there and it works... sorta...
It creates weird files when I use it, and then it crashes
again. I tried this on 3 other windows 2000 pro machines
all with service pack 4 and they all crash at the same
point... Some one needs to fix this, if they haven't
already... this is ridicules!

I don't think MS will fix this. Sounds like you have
issue with IRQ. I don't know the fix though.
