Hello,

Can somebody tell me if the Visual Basic 6 run-time is installed by default
by XP SP3? Just to know if we need to deploy it seperately or not.

Kind regards,
Jo Goos

That's an awfully strange question for anyone doing deployments with
VB6. But no, it's not part of SP3. But dont' deploy it seprately;
deploy it WITH the installer you make.
IF instead it's a program you have that wants teh VBruntime, read the
install/readme notes. If they don't say, don't run that program; the
author knows less than you do.

VB6 requires msVBvm60.dll, which, like msVCrt.dll,
is included and installed in all versions of Windows XP.
