Service Pack 2

I have tried several times to download SP2, but it seems to screw up my
monitor(I have a gateway monitor) does anyone have any suggestions?

Are you using the Windows Update site to install SP2 or downloading the SP2
file first and then installing?
If you are using Windows Update then try downloading SP2 to your hard disk
and then perform the install.
Also do not install any video card driver updates from Windows Update,
always use the card manufacturer's site to obtain drivers.
