Service Pack 2

Hi, I am completely new to this but just installed service pack and now any
of the Microsoft programs don't run: powerpoint, excel, word, mediaplayer,
etc....has anyone encountered this.....thanks everyone

Absolutely nothing happens. the program just doesn't start. it happens if
i run it from the start menu or if i double click on its icon on the desktop.
wow...its strange and frustrating
