First of all, this isn't a website. You are using the web interface to a
newsgroup. The web interface is awful. This is a public newsgroup
hosted on Microsoft servers, but it is not Microsoft tech support.
Everyone who posts help here is a volunteer. Sometimes MS employees
post, but that is on their own time and not as official MS
representatives.

It sounds to me like your video card drivers are getting blown out. I
can't tell from your post whether or not you've actually installed SP2.
To fix the video problem, update your video card drivers. Get them from
the device mftr.'s website or if you have an OEM machine (HP, Dell,
Sony, etc.) get them from the OEM's website for your particular
machine.
