great article showing all the major changes in Windows XP SP2
http://www.winsupersite.com/faq/xpsp2.asp

I am running SP and have to say I think it is great. It is a Release
Candidate and is not the Final release.

You can get SP2 here:

http://tinyurl.com/23aql

( If you are not familiar with www.tinyurl.com feel free to look at the
site. But all http://tinyurl.com/23aql does is forward you to
http://download.microsoft.com/download/5/a/f/5aff45ae-ef27-4821-b666-d2b6530cbe4f/xpsp2.exe )

You can read what people are saying about Service Pack 2 with the
following:

Nathan,

Ideally since as you suspect not everyone is not going to trust a "tinyURL"
you may be better off posting a full link.
However - it is best to avoid posting the absolute download location as they
are subject to change without notice - better to direct a user to the actual
page where we link from
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/winxppro/sp2preview.mspx
Where they can not only find a link to download the SP2 Preview but also
links to other related information such as the Comprehensive Guide to
Functionality etc.

That's one mighty big Service Pack. And thanks for the private logon

Kurt,

The "private login info" is actually public.

As I pointed out to the original poster if he had just provided the proper
link to the SP2 Preview page you would get a link that would provide the
download as well as lots of other relevant information including how to
participate in the Preview Program newsgroups.

Thanks, but I found that out after I posted my first response in this
thread, but before you posted your response to me, by following the link you
provided earlier to Nathan. I hadn't downloaded your first post in this
thread, until after I already posted my first response. Thanks again.
