I need to have a microsoft internet explorer 5.0 service pack 2 or higher to use a certain website to access a website that gives private information from my job. I have a hp notebook that I bought about a year ago. It has windows xp. I am not very computer literate and don't know where or how to download this. Is it a new program I have to buy or , worse, do I have to buy a new computer? Thanks. Nancy

Go to the Internet Explorer web site and download whatever you need.

Greetings --

You're already well above the requirements of that web site.
WinXP comes with Internet Explorer 6 built in.
