Service Pack 2 not recognized after Detect and Repair

I recently did a Detect and Repair on my computer. The operation was
successful, but now Office Update doesn't recognize that I have SP2
installed. In Outlook Help/About, the product version is identified as
10.4712.4219 SP-2. What can I do (short of downloading the service pack
again)?
 
What do you mean when you say it is not recognized? Do you get a prompt to
download it again? Which program causes the prompt?

the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal

After searching google.groups.com and finding no answer, Gatekeeper asked:
