Service Pack 1

To which directory do I download Service Pack 1? I don't
have it with my disks, and at times I am asked to insert
the disk with it on it. When I go to MS web site and try
to download Service Pack 1, it asks me where to save it
to.

Any suggestions?

Hi,

You can download it to any folder and then it downloads the setup files but does not install it. After the download is completed you can open that folder to which it was saved and then double click to launch it and install it.

After you install SP1, there will be a new folder :
Windows\ServicePackFiles\i386

Whenever you're prompted for the service pack 1 disk, you should be able to
redirect that request to that folder. I've used this redirect method when
running SFC /SCANNOW and it works.
