When trying to save a page I am now getting:
Server error: The server extensions were unable to access the file
C:\Documents and Settings\Kevin\Myocuments\mywebs\www\_vti_pvt\service.lck".
Please check the file permissions.

My hosting service does not have server extensions and I just want to save
locally to my hard drive - what setting must I change and how do I fix this
server error problem?

When I click on Tools - Web Settings - General tab - it says no server
currently in use.

Any help would be much appreciated

Hello,

The same kind of errors occurred in my Frontpage class this week, and when I
asked a colleague about it, he explained to me that it has something to do
with the NTFS file system of Windows XP. If you are using XP and you are
trying to publish to a folder that you do not have access to (because it was
created by another user or because the administrator disallowed you access
to it), you will get this error.

Try publishing locally to a folder YOU created.

Delete service.lck and reopen FP
