Hi,

For 3 days now, when I restart my servers, all the services running with a
domain account fail to start.
The error msg is "... logon failure".
When I re-enter the password in the ad-hoc field and press OK, the system
says that the service has just been granted the logon localy permission, but
the service will not start anymore.

If I start the service with local system account, the service starts
correctly.

OS:Win2K, Fct:DC, Cluster resource, or member srv

If anyone of you has experience this problem, I'm in a real urgency for your
help

Thanks in advance for your support
Alexandre

Check to make sure you've not granted logon as a service or logon locally
rights via a GPO. If you have, this will overwrite the local policy and
remove these rights from all groups not explicitly defined in the GPO.

Thanks ptwilliams,

I have set the GPO at the Domain Controllers OU (since these servers are DCs
and Cluster nodes).

If I get your suggestion I should remove these accounts from that GPO?

Thanks for your support
Alexandre

Either get rid of the settings from the GPO (not the best way) or add the
necessary accounts to the GPO (a better way).
