About 2 weeks ago, I began to notice that my computer
would not fully boot up after I turned it on and logged
in with my account. It appears that everything is booted
up and ready to go, but when I try to start a program it
tells me that "the Service Database is currently locked,
Please try the requested operation later."
It usually takes about 90 seconds from the time my
computer is turned on and windows starts until I finally
hear the trademark Windows start up chime and I see all
my programs load in the bottom right system tray.
After that, everything runs fine.
So.. What is the Service Database, and why is it locked
(and preventing me from running programs for the first 90
seconds or so) when Windows starts up?
