My error log shows the same message (20 times one day) and 10 today -
"The Applications Management terminated with the following error. The
specified module could not be found.

Was attempting to download music/movie today (and aborted) so perhaps this
lends insight to someone;

Many thanks to anyone with input.

When you view the logged events in Event Viewer (double-click them in the
right-hand pane) in the upper right corner, third button down is a copy to
clipboard, then you can paste in the body of a reply message.

Please do so for each of the different System Log events (that are a Type:
'Error' or 'Warning') since last boot so we can see all of the event detail.

Also check Device Manager for error codes and or non-starting devices.

Dave Patrick -

Many thanks for your reply; I posted (too quickly) copy from the error log -
Checked Device Driver and nothing highlighted -

A computer enthusiast who helped set up new computer apparently networked
my new one to old one for file transfer........(and I haven't had other
computer turned on....) - perhaps this is the problem?????

Again Thanks - don't think I'll make it as a hacker in this life -

You may need to reinstall the application that created this service.

How does this relate to the original post?

Autoruns is a programme, which list everything starting and
where it starts from.Try downloading and installing:
http://www.sysinternals.com/Utilities/Autoruns.html

You can save the output of the Everything tab to a txt file.
Place the cursor on any item in the list and it gives a save
as option on the File drop down. Post a copy of the bit
giving details of the start location.

Hope this helps.
