In the event viewer files "system" I keep getting an error code #7000
indicating that the "Print port scanner driver service" fails to start. I do
not have a scanner attached to the computer at this time.
How do I disable this service or put it on manual,so the error stops
repeating (on booting)

Look for the device in Device Manager and set it's startup type to
'Disabled'

Start|Run|devmgmt.msc

I'm sure of that, but which file starts this service? I haven't been able to
find it.

To display hidden devices, non-Plug and Play devices, and devices not
attached to the computer (commonly known as "ghosted" or "phantom" devices)
Save the following two lines as a file then execute.

--------------------------setdev.bat---------------------
set DEVMGR_SHOW_NONPRESENT_DEVICES=1
start devmgmt.msc
---------------------------------------------------------

Then, View|Show Hidden Devices to remove or reconfigure these devices. Do
not edit the registry.

Great, and where do I do that from?command prompt?Run,ect?Exact route or
pathway would be helpfull.

Well you were right about the ghost hardware, found them and fixed them but
I'm back to the first question in this post. "print port scanner driver
service failed to start" error code 7000
I am looking in all programs>administrative tools>event viewer>system log to
view the error.
I think the problem is in>administrative tools>component services>But I
haven't found the service that activates/deactivates this error.
