Hello,
I have the following problem on a W2K Server (SP4)
running DHCP server:
Everytime I try to connect to the
internet by using a configured dialup connection I am
receiving the following message in the system log:
EventID: 7031
Source: Service Control Manager
Description: The description says, that DHCP server has
terminated unexpected. This had happened x times and the
service will be restared in x seconds.
The DHCP server service is then restarted automatically
after several seconds. However, I am not able to access
the DHCP snap-in. It seems, that service hangs.
When disconnecting from the internet by terminating the
dialup connection the same event is recorded again in the
system log.
1. Reinstalling SP4 -> no success
2. Reinstalling and reconfiguring DHCP server -> no success
Any help? Unfortunatelly I don't know, when this problem
occured the first time.
Thank you, all.
