Hi All

When I start my computer up and the icons appear on screen A box appears,
titling Service and Control error. Then I get another box telling me the
computer will shut down in 60 seconds.

This only appeared after I installed one of the updates a couple of months
ago. something to do with services.exe.

Cannot get much information as computer shuts down so quick.

Help me please?

Hi,

To prevent the shutdown (after you see the warning) click on start then run
then type the following
shutdown -a
and press return or enter, this should at least abort the shutdown and allow
you to gather some more diagnostic info.

I would say best to start with the update, do you know specifically what
update it was, you could try un-installing it or reverting to a system
restore point prior to the update.

You could also try running a system file check, to do this click start then
run then type:
SFC /SCANONCE
Then press enter or return, then next time your system boots it should
perform a check on all your protected system files,
