j'a essayé mais ca ne marche toujours pas il y a un probleme avec
l'authentification: quand j'entre mon mot de passe et mon nom d'utilisateur,

Your problem is different now then it was before.
Now your username/password login is not being accepted.
You can test your password by logging in to your provider's webmail:
http://r.orange.fr/r/Owebmail_inbox_v2

If that works, it proves you have the correct username and password.
A likely reason for the username/password failing is account corruption.
One thing you should try as a possible quick fix is to delete that corrupted
mail account, restart Windows Mail, then recreate that account.

If that doesn't fix it, more drastic measures will have to be taken.
Which antivirus are you running?
As a minimum, email scanning in the antivirus must be turned off,
although that may not be sufficient to eliminate all bad effects.
In a worst case scenario, your antivirus may need to be uninstalled.

If turning off the email scanning function does not resolve your problem,
consider upgrading to Windows Live Mail, because it is less prone to
suffering bad effects from overly aggressive antivirus programs.

Email scanning in any antivirus must be disabled, for reasons
explained here:

actually, i don't have a wanadoo address but a hotmail address but it was not
working so i used sb's wanadoo address, i also tried with another address
that i have with my school, (@edu.univ-paris13.fr) but i don't know which
servor it is, at least i know it's not orange...

Hmmm, this is starting to look like nailing Jell-O to the wall. :-)
I have no idea who or what "sb's" is, or whether it is even pertinent.

Perhaps a better approach is to get your Hotmail account working
in Windows Mail. I assume it does work at http://hotmail.com ?

Windows Mail doesn't support HTTP mail, which for a long time was the
only allowed access method for free Hotmail accounts.

In February, Microsoft enabled POP access for free Hotmail/Live/MSN accounts.
Follow the settings given here:
http://mailcall.spaces.live.com/Blog/cns!CC9301187A51FE33!49799.entry
Use port 587 rather than port 25 for the SMTP server.

Although it accepts the newer Live.com addresses, Windows Mail's
account setup wizard is hard-coded to reject Hotmail addresses.
To get around that, when you enter your Hotmail email address initially,
use a fake one, such as (e-mail address removed). After the account setup is complete,
go back and correct your email address.

so i followed your instructions and the link and now when i try to send the
message, they told me that stmp didn't work after 1min and they ask if i
wanna wait 1 more min.
but actually my address is hotmail.fr, should i write pop3.live.fr and
smtp.live.fr instead of .com?

the error message is"compte pop3.live.com serveur smtp.live.com protocole
smtp port 587 securise ssl oui numéro d'erreur 0x800ccc19

ca y est c'est bon ca a marché!!!!!!!!! vraiment merci beaucoup de votre aide!!
cordialement,
shirley
