Hello
We might encounter a problem on a win2000 server SP2 with RAID ( more 500 GB , thousand of files ) , 10 to 20 client
Slow performance apperars after some days and reboot is needed to restore the functionning of the serve
i saw the ref 263939 "disk performance may degarde over time"

apparently corrected on SP3 and SP

i saw different file version (ex disk.sys) in sp3 and sp4 than mention in the remark lis

Can you confirm we must pass from SP2 to SP3 or SP4 to fully correct this problem

Can we apply a small hotfix ( not a fully SP ) on our SP2 to solve it

The best solution would be to install SP4. You don't need to install SP3,
all the fixes that came with SP3 are included in SP4.

Another option, if you don't want to install any SP, might be to call
Microsoft and ask if they still have the 263939 hotfix available.
