I'm managing a Windows 2K Server (SP4, updated), and for
some reason, out of the clear blue, the server stopped
reponding to VPN connections using PPTP and tries to use
L2TP instead. The problem is, we don't implement L2TP, and
there are no ports open for it, so users can't connect at
all.
This happened once before, and it was solved by restarting
the Routing and Remote Access service. This time, though,
it started happening after the "Root Certificates Update"
was installed. The server has been rebooted since then, so
I'm pretty sure that restarting the service won't resolve
the problem.
HELP! We need remote access restored, as there is an
employee who just had a baby and needs to work from home.
Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.
