I am a Tech for the School District and we have server
services disabled on our windows 2000 Computers I need to
reenable this on a few machine but for some reason I can
not get it to enable can anyone give me some clues. It
gives me an error that there is another service that it
needs but I don't know what that is.

Thanks Doug

The following links tell you plenty about Win2000 services.
One of them probably has the info you're after.

Hi Doug,

By writing "server services" and "get it to enable", do you mean that you ran
services.msc, double-clicked the service named Server, tried to change the Startup
Type from Disabled to either Manual or Automatic, and then "It gives [you] an error
that there is another service that it needs"? What is the exact text of the error
message? Did Event Viewer (eventvwr.msc) record any error messages related to this
event and, if yes, what message(s)?
