hallo, one of my client use server based rule for forwarding mail to some
external address. It works always for some weeks and then it displays error
when he connect exchange (his outlook writes "rule failed"). He usually need
to recreate rule to work again. Dont you have any idea what could be wrong?
Server is w2000 sbs and ex2000. his outlook is 2002. thanks

Best option: get rid of the rule, and set up a mail-enabled contact for the
external account, and set the delivery options on the mailbox to send a copy
of all inbound mail to the contact. You can then hide the contact from the
address book if you wish.

I'd disable autoreply/autoforward to the Internet, too.

Go to AD, Users and Groups and create a new Contact. Give it the external
emailaddress. Then on the properties of the user who wants to forward the
mail to this contact, one of those Exchange tabs (you might have to turn on
Advanced View) you'll find a button Delivery Options. There you can choose
the Contact to which the mail has to be forwarded to.

Hi, do you have any idea why sometimes people cannot send messages to the
group? The message stays in the sent item folder. Thanks!
